Quick Review: Magic Hat hI.P.A.

Finally, a Magic Hat that really impresses me. This Vermont brewery keeps sending me beers to review, and I keep feeling sort of bad about it, because they've consistently underwhelmed me. But the Magic Hat hI.P.A. (high-PA) is very solid hopfest that compares favorably with other examples in this style. It pours out a clear gold, surprisingly considered so often I see this style unfiltered. It's part of a series of seasonal IPAs Magic Hat is releasing (see my review of Blind Faith from the summer). A bright, flowery hop taste, with a wonderful, lingering bitterness on the tongue after the swallow. I'll give it an 'A.'
