Hooray! Boulevard in Austin

One of my very favorite breweries, which I've raved about here often, is Kansas City's Boulevard. I'd heard they started distributing in Texas, but only up in the DFW area. Now, a buyer with Spec's informs me: "Boulevard has just become available in Austin and should be in the stores later this week or early next week."

Kick butt! Of course, I'm guessing they won't be sending their seasonals and specialties down here, so I'm sure I'll still be dependent on my twice-annual trips to see the in-laws for that stuff. Or trips by the mother-in-law down here to Texas.

Fun bit of trivia: Since InBev purchased Anheuser-Busch, Boulevard is now the largest Missouri-owned brewery.

I also enjoy Boulevard. I had it a couple years ago when I was in Kansas for a friend's wedding.

That Boulevard Wheat is a good session beer.

I just found it at the funky little quik-mart near my house! Far south Austin is coming up in the world.

This is the best news I have read in quite some time. I have been missing my favorite unfiltered wheat since moving here two years ago.

Thanks for the heads up. Specks down south had the variety 12 pack. I was giddy, still am for that matter. Guys at Specks said Red Robin has the wheat on tap already. I agree the best unfiltered wheat around.

Dang it, I looked hard for it at the Spec's near me and couldn't find any. Maybe I'll try again today.

When I was buying the 12 at Specs one of the guys told the other they are going to have to order more of the Boulevard, it was moving faster then they anticipated. My 12 pak was the last in the cooler. Will be interesting to see how many they will actually stock. I know they had the pale ale and the wheat. I lost my concentration when I saw the variety pak and everything else failed to register.

I think the same thing was happening at Grape Vine Market. I found some of the pale, and there were big empty spaces around it on the shelf that I'm guessing were previously occupied by more Boulevard.

Based on my trips to Spec's and GVM, it looks like Bully is shipping the Pale, Wheat, and Lunar to Texas.

A restock trip to Spec's confirmed your findings Lee. Pale Ale, Wheat and the Luna. Also, Red Robin is serving the wheat on tap. Lovely. The ZON was new to me and was quite happy to make it's acquaintance.
