A $400 beer?!?

Seriously. Damn, and my wife thinks I'm pissing away money when I shell out $10 for a bottle of something fancy-schmancy. Somebody let me know what this tastes like, because I doubt I'll be getting a bottle.

I'm glad that article started off with Carlsberg's slogan: "Probably the best beer in the world". Carla and I thought that was hilarious when we saw it a few years ago in Denmark.

Even if I was a billionaire, I think I'd spend my money on a $40 beer and a $360 bottle of Scotch.

Yeah, "probably" doesn't exactly exude confidence in the claim, does it?

That's about 800 PBRs!

I guess you could buy it and then justify the extravagence by saying; "If this was a poncy wine, I'd be paying $4000 for it, so I 'spose I'm really saving $3600!"

The slogan is funny and apparently effective. Even "funnier" and probably more effective is the strategy of selling beer to wealthy but potentially clueless people!
Ah, well...
