My favorite beer quotes

The Opinionated Beer Page has a great list of beer quotes. These are my favorites:

"You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline — it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer." — Frank Zappa

"People who drink light 'beer' don't like the taste of beer; they just like to pee alot." — Capital Brewery, Middleton, WI

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." — Benjamin Franklin

"The easiest way to spot a wanker in a pub is to look around and find who's drinking a Corona with a slice of lemon in the neck." — Warwick Franks

"Why is American beer served cold? So you can tell it from urine." — David Moulton

"I would kill everyone in this room for a drop of sweet beer." — Homer Simpson

The Beer Snob can't quote Homer Simpson. Because Homer's drinking American -- probably light -- beer.

Duff? Trust me, that's not a Belgium brew.

And of course, Fudd is even worse.

Hey, who says Duff is a lowbrow brew?: http://www.duffbeerusa.com/

I'm not buying it. Not one bit. You can't have the best of both worlds. If you're gonna crap all over American light brew, you can't quote Homer, too. You gotta save something for us swill-drinkers.

And, yeah, I'm workin' on the last tall-boy of the Bud Light six-pack and listening to Merle Haggard as I type this.

Homer has drank a microbrew in the past. He got drunk on Red Tick Ale so drunk he walked home and saw an alien. Adjunct... more dog.
