I'm not the biggest pilsner connoisseur …

… but I think Victory Prima Pils is the best I've ever had. This is one seriously awesome beer. I've been drinking a lot of it lately.

But like I said: I don't even usually think about pilsners until summer, and there are numerous other styles that of which I'm a bigger fan. And I've never been to the Czech Republic to taste the milk right from the mother's breast, as it were.

I'm just saying, of the pilsners I have tried, this one is hands-down the best.

Lee, it's summer. You can think about Pilsners now.

I'm not a big fan of pilsners. But, I will look for Prima Pils next time I'm in Austin.

Really? Live Oak's Pilz is better than Prima.

No argument that Live Oak's is world-class — I just think Victory is the best of the best.

We have a Prima Pils bottle here but haven't gotten to it yet. I would say Northcoast's Scrimshaw Pils is pretty nice as well.

I tried the Prima Pils last night. It was very good, but it doesn't hold a candle to Live Oak.

You proved your first statement, with your second.

Pilsner is one of my favorite styles, and Prima is about as far off-type as anything I've ever had that billed itself as a pils.

I know lots of people that like it and I don't fault anyone for that, but it's not a pils to me.
