Bill: I don't have a phone that lets me tweet for free. Otherwise, I'd set that up.
Along the same lines, Patrick: I can think of no worse idea that getting drunk and carrying around my laptop. That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Ugh. I am a techie and use pub tours to forget about tech stuff. If you wanted to experience the tour in real time you have to be there!
I think I'll start a new organization "Bobnoxious for tweet free pub crawls"
My namesake has it right: you should have tweeted it (you can do it with text messages from any damn phone), and appended the beermapping.com code for each place. Then you'd have a nice souvenir map of the crawl!
Too late for that, but I'm waiting with bated breath for the writeup of the pub crawl...
Bill C: Okay, I have twitter set up on my phone now. I didn't understand exactly how it was going to work (I thought I would be receiving and getting charged for updates from everyone I follow, but realized I was wrong). So yes, I should have tweeted the crawl.
As for the write-up: It is currently scheduled to appear in the Aug. 21 edition of the Chronicle. I'll link to it when it comes out.
