Need Beer Advice: Fayetteville, Arkansas

Hey fellow beer lovers, does anyone out there know of a good beer bar in Fayetteville, Arkansas? Sadly, Fayetteville isn't big enough to have a page at beermapping.com. I'd love a tip from anyone who knows the area, especially near the U. of Arkansas campus.

Lee: For out-of-the-way places, you have to romance beermapping.com in just the right way. It actually does show two places of interest in Fayetteville. Here's a map of them.

Ha! It's showing precisely two places. This is a rather small town. But thanks, I knew I could count on you.

I've been thinking of you during this meet - with Oregon's men and women track & field teams both being strong contenders for the national championships, there's a lot of Oregonians here. My assigned seat in the press box is next to another Track & Field News writer named Jack Pfeifer, who lives in Portland.

Hey, do you remember Kevin McHargue from the The Daily Texan? He just moved to Portland, about 1.5 miles east of you. You can find him on Facebook.

Yeah, I was planning to check out that Hog Haus place, but they close at 10pm on weekdays, and 11pm on weekends! Seriously! The meet has been running too late for me to get there, but I might can make it tonight. Well, maybe - we're currently having a rain delay, so that could push back the schedule. Last night I found an "Irish" pub and had a Guinness with a table full of Oregon Duck track fans.

Beer Advocate has been around longer. It's listing 5 http://beeradvocate.com/beerfly/list?city=Fayetteville&c_id=US&s_id=AR

Thanks Shirl, but too late — I've moved on to Kansas City now.

Hi Bill! The extra ones on BeerFly are bottle shops and a homebrew store.

I'm a resident of Fayetteville for 4 years. Dickson st is the place for beer.

Smoke and barrel: live music a lot. $2 beers and all types of people. From old to hippie to expensive. But mostly hippies.

Kingfish: live music Thursday-Saturday I believe. $1 pbr etc. All types of people go here. They have a huge back patio where the stage is.

Stir: for the frat crowd mostly but others as well obviously. $1 well drink on Thursday.

Tables: this one is not on Dickson. They have pool and etc. It's a smokey place with pretty cheap beers. Strange crowd kind of older and grungey.

Georges: lots of concerts here. Pay to get in most times and 18+. Good music, expensive beer bc they can. Rude employees. :X

That's all the ones I attend!

Anonymous: Thanks, but actually, I needed the advice two years ago when I was covering the NCAA track & field championships for Track & Field News. However, I'll keep those in mind if Fayetteville hosts it again in the near future.
